Some Bright Ideas

 Hey guys, we are back from break and planning continues. This film is unlike any work from last year and it is setting in. Jackson and sean are juniors who have a lot going on. while Sean D is a senior ready to get his diploma which is his last credit and ours too.  Unlike last year it is simpler as our location is right by Jackson's house, it's a forest park where we can film and use the natural setting. We plan to try and start production in mid-February and get ahead of it as junior year is busy but you never know. Our backup time is right after the school SAT as we would no longer worry about that. Jackson and Sean are the main actors along with one of his neighbors which is undecided yet who will act as the victim found in our thriller. Being in a natural environment people can be at risk so finding a safe section without wild animals is a must. Our props so far are minimal as we just need a car, outfits for the actors along with a phone to act as how they call 911. My Dslr rebel 3 cannon camera will be used to film. Yet one issue is since it is outside weather plays a big part. Along with the park being crowded being an obstacle too. But learning from last year checking ahead with the weather is needed. If all went wrong rescheduling is easier as it is at Jacksons' house and sean D. and Sean H can both drive to make it easy. Being older gives us more free time and opportunity to film. Last year we had to be driven and live distances away from one another. Some prob ideas we have but have yet to finalize are bits of torn-up clothes along with other trash in general just to add emphasis. Thats all for now but we will update you guys along the way.

Finally Filming

  Today Zane and I finally filmed the commercial and finished it. After all the hurricane delays plus another unexpected incident, he and I finally found time to film. The gym was a bit full for a little while so it wasn't as quick as expected. There were a couple people that gave recommendations but we stuck to our storyboard. I was the actor in the commercial and Zane was the director. He took 7-21 second videos of many different workouts and picked the best few to include. A few videos were excluded because of the people in the background that did not want to be filmed. Zane filmed using his iPhone instead of a professional camera. It was easier for both of us to use his phone instead of taking the time to find a real camera. He took shots from high and low angles to capture the best views. Editing !!

 Today Zane started the editing process. After a long wait, filming is finally complete and editing can begin. He will use Adobe Editing Software for most of the editing and maybe iMovie for the rest. The editing is really easy for him and he enjoys it so I don’t have to do much editing. I’ve tried and asked but he refuses to let me touch editing because he enjoys it. He edited the last video so it was easier for him to just do this one too. When he is done, I will get opinions from other people on what to do better next time. There were new angles in this video that I would like outside opinions on. I will ask a bunch of different people to hopefully get honest opinions. Once reviewing the finally opinions, I can finalize the video for submission. Most of the editing will be done separately because it is easier that way. I cant really help a lot either way so it’s not like Zane will need me for anything.
