Short film research: Other side of the box, Thriller Genre

The opening scene of the short film Other Side of the Box starts with a stormy, gloomy night. A man with a scared look on his face is driving all around the city. In the rearview mirror, we catch views of a shadowy figure who looks to be following him. After pulling up to an empty warehouse, the man quickly enters and locks the door. The figure seems to have already found him despite his attempt to find a place to hide. When he hears footsteps he turns and sees the dark figure waiting in the doorway. With a smile on his face the figure approaches and stands above him as he fell and hot the ground while trying to run. He begs for his life yet the figure lungers forward pulling out a knife. A struggle broke out and he attempted to fight back. When it looks like all hope is lost a group with guns pulls up and storms the building. The man is saved and the figure is captured. It gets revealed that that man was hired to silence him from the major trial he was a witness to. The man was saved and put under protection and police went to investigate. As the credits roll the man was giving his testimony in court seen crying, ensuring that justice will be served. The man is finally shown to be secure and unharmed as the movie closes with him being led out of the courtroom. But we do see the figure moving in the back silently leaving the door open to a sequel. The entire movie had viewers on the edge of their seats with anxiety and suspense. The already exciting plot was made much more shocking by the unexpected twist conclusion. The short video left spectators wanting more, but in all, it was a thrilling rollercoaster journey. This thriller shows an example of how to build suspense which is vital in a thriller movie.
